Uncle Ray
When calling to wish Uncle Ray a happy birthday I found out all of his phones had been disconnected. Thanks for my cousin Samantha we found out that he had passed away a day after Aunt Irene’s birthday. I have many fun memories of Uncle Ray and Aunt Irene. From their visit to Indiana to come to my wedding, our week long stays together at the Jersey shore, to our visits to New Jersey, which always included many tomato pies, cream donuts, and fantastic lunch meats. For some reason, the food is just better on the East Coast! I enjoyed our excursions on Uncle Ray’s yacht on Barnegat Bay and diving for oysters. He was at our table for Cousin Samantha‘s wedding a month after Aunt Irene‘s passing and was always positive and his dance card was always full! I am so blessed that I got to visit him during my last trip to New Jersey in May 2022 with my Cousin Shirley. Little did I know that would be the last time I would see him. But as I say nothing but great memories with Uncle Ray and may he rest in peace.

It’s so sad to read that my uncle has passed away and there is nothing written about his life. He was married to my Aunt Irene and from what I remember they had a wonderful life together until her passing in 2009. They both loved to travel and were always going to different places. They were always booking a new cruise. They had a boat together and my parents always went on their boat. Uncle Ray loved to watch sports. He loved to drink his scotch with my mom when we went over to visit. I can still see him sitting in his recliner lounge chair. The last few years he would come over to our house when we made perogies and that made him happy. Uncle Ray will be dearly missed.
