Obituary of Fred L. Warner

It is with great sadness and fondness that his family remembers Fred L. Warner, 75, who passed away April 22, 2022 after a brief illness. Born October 19, 1946 in Trenton, he moved with his mother and stepfather to Hamilton Township when he was nine years old. A 1964 graduate of Steinert High School, he subsequently earned two associates degrees in Business from Burlington County Community College. He served five years in the US Air Force and was proud of his Veteran status, always supporting various Veterans' charities. He worked eleven years for PSE&G, and was also employed by Griffith Electric Supply Co. in Trenton and Ebasco Services in Princeton. He spent many years working for the State of NJ, and retired in 2007 from the Personnel Department of the NJ State Police Headquarters in Ewing. Fred enjoyed sports, rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles as well as the Boston Red Sox and Celtics. He was a longtime community league coach for Bordentown youth basketball and baseball. He attended several rock and roll revival concerts each year, and even had a refurbished jukebox in his living room. He was a huge fan of Larry Bird, Duke's Coach K and comedian/actor Bob Newhart. He loved family gatherings, board games (often making up his own rules), pitch and putt golf, riding a bike on the Ocean City NJ boardwalk and shooting pool with family and friends. Predeceased by his mother Elizabeth (Dziesiuta) Archer, beloved stepfather Edward Archer, and his late wife Sandra (Bunting) Warner, he is survived by his wife of 39 years Denise (Rittmann) Warner, children Joseph Warner of Texas, Scott (Sonya) Warner of Pennington, Timothy (Maureen) Warner of North Carolina, Christine (Rylan) Proto and Katherine Warner, all of Red Bank, sisters Jane (Michael) Skalisky of Colorado and Joyce Archer of Florence, brother John Archer of Florence, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren (with two more due in November), and many nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Life open house at Carslake Community Center, 207 Crosswicks Street in Bordentown NJ on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 5-7pm.
