Evelyn R. Schriber, 92, of Hamilton, passed away on December 31, 2020. Born in Trenton, she has been an area resident all of her life. After graduating from Trenton High School, she worked at the Walter F. Smith & Co. Cuban Tobacco Company. After raising her children she then worked for Mercer County Purchasing Dept. Evelyn was a member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, and then a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She also belonged to the Hamilton Seniors, and the Decou Seniors. Evelyn and her husband, Tom, did a lot of cross country traveling, camping with their children, and trips with the Senior Center and friends. Daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Hradsky) Ranto, high school sweetheart and wife of 71 years to the late Thomas C. Schriber, who passed away on December 24, 2020, mother of the late Thomas Charles Schriber, and sister of the late Andrew, Peter, John, Anna, and Helen Ranto, Mary Irons, and Amelia Van Ness, and her daughter Andrea's partner of 20 years, Neil Matheson, she is survived by , her children Andrea Linder of Woodbine, NJ, and Tammy and Timothy Turner of Hamilton, her grandchildren Robert Linder, Danielle Torretta, Timothy and his wife Stephanie Turner, Daniel Turner, and her great-granddaughter Ava Torretta, and many nieces and nephews, especially Bette Ann and Bill Bowers. Graveside services for both Evelyn and Thomas will be held jointly on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:30am at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Cemetery, Lily St., Hamilton. Pastor Ian Hill will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church 350 Whitehorse Ave., Hamilton, NJ 08610. Condolences can be left at Knottscolonialfuneralhome.com.
