Nick was a southern gentleman, a renaissance man, and the life of the party. I don't think there was ever a time that didn't see Nick smiling. Doug and I got to know and love Nick through our good friend Dave. I met Nick when he attended a conference where Dave and I were presenting out in Denver. I rented a red Cadillac and my sister-in-law, Dot, got us second-row tickets to see Crosby, Stills, & Nash at the Red Rock Theatre - we had a blast. We went to dinner at the famed Flagsatff Restaurant up in the Rockies and the food was heavenly! Nick was such a great conversationalist and a connoisseur of fine wine and food. We toured the Coors Beer facility, admired the Colorado Rockies with a cold brew, and then zoomed back into Dever to catch a flight home. Nick attended another conference where Dave and I were presenting out in Arizona and we shared a lovely dinner in the desert. At home in NJ, Doug and I loved it when Nick was in town and we would get together for dinner or he and Dave would come over for dinner at our house. The hours of laughter, the great conversations, and the fun playing parlor games will be sorely missed. Nick was truly a wonderful person and a great partner to Dave as well as a parent to Dave's girls. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and loved him. The contributions he made during his 30 years at HHS were immeasurable with respect to increasing the health, well-being, and safety in children's lives and those contributions will live on forever. Thanks for everything NIck, you lived your life out loud and to the fullest and you touched all of us with your presence. We were so lucky to know you. God rest your soul. May peace be with you, Dave, and with your family.

Roy was a dear friend for many years. We spent many Saturday evenings in front of my computer singing Gospel songs, laughing together and occasionally sharing a test or two. I enjoyed getting to know his partner Dave and I was so glad he found such a great love. He will live in my heart forever and in my prayers. God Bless you my dear friend.
Love, Phyllis

Roy will always be loved and appreciated beyond words. Here was a man who brought so much joy to others, so incredibly generous and kind. With David, that partnership only elevated the good they did together for others. His time here was far too brief, and his passing has left a painful void to whose who knew and loved him.
With deep sympathy and grief,
Tracey and Taylor Friedman
