. Richard G. Olchvary, 83, of Hamilton Square, passed away on May 4, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was a loving husband and father. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and hunting, and he loved his vacation home in the Poconos. He was also a member of the German American Club. Richard served his country proudly in the United States Army, working for Military Intelligence. He retired from Prudential Insurance after 38 years of service. Richard spent many mornings at Fred & Pete's Deli with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Luise Olchvary, whom he met and fell in love with while serving in Germany 61 years ago, his son Eric Olchvary and his wife Beth, his daughter Monica Lopez, his grandson Austin, and granddaughter Claudia, step granddaughters Lee, Laura, and Ashley, his nieces Linda Lavanco and Janice Orban, and his beloved dogs Holly and Happy. A Graveside Funeral Service and Military Honors will be held 1:00pm Saturday September 12, 2020 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940 Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's memory to either resqpets.org or stjude.org. Arrangements are under the care of Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton, NJ 08610.
