Obituary of Elvira R. Annasenz

Elvira R. Annasenz, 84, of Hamilton, passed away on February 23, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a proud graduate of Dobbins Technical High School. She was a commercial artist for over 15 years. Elvira shared her love of drawing and crafts with her children and grandchildren, whom she was very proud of. She was an active member of the St. Raphael School P.T.A., and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a devoted caregiver to many of her family members. Daughter of the late Paul and Frieda (Weishaupt) Bartel, she is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, John J. Annasenz of Hamilton, her children Marie and her husband Sean Gorman of Hamilton, her son John J. Annasenz of Mansfield, grandchildren Kyle and Kelsey Annasenz, and Christina, Elizabeth, and Shane Gorman, her cousin Norman Gehweiler, and several loving relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 9:30am at St. Raphael's Church 3500 South Broad St., Hamilton. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and again on Thursday morning from 8:15 to 9:00am at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
