Catherine Groom, 91, of Hamilton passed away on Monday, April 17th. Born in Trenton, Catherine was an area resident all her life. Catherine loved to crochet beautiful blankets, and baby sweaters, and was an avid bingo player. Daughter of the late Taylor and Catherine (Meyer) Forker, wife of the late William Groom, Sister of the late Anna Kenney and Alberta Groom, Mother-in-law of the late Frederick Gernhart, and Grandmother of the late Frederick Gernhart II, she is survived by her daughter Kathleen Groom Gernhart, granddaughter Kimberly Ford, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her grand-dog Penny. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, April 24th from 9:00-10:30am at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am at Holy Angels Church, 1733 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
